After 11 almost years, FarmVille is finally going to shutting down. The world-famous farming social media game will close up shop on December 31. On the same day, all browsers stop supporting Adobe Flash.
It was Launched as a Facebook game in 2009, the real FarmVille was established as a Flash app. Adobe wants to stop distributing the program at the end of this year. It means that the game will not run on browsers after 2020.
The game will continue to work in the meantime, with its in-app purchase option shuttering on November 17. If you will Refunds for any purchases, it will not be available after that date, either. Players can still buy items up until the game shuts down officially.
Zynga is planning to keep upgrading the game until it shuts down, and they said it would hold new, unannounced exercises before the game in the meantime. The developer says that current VIP Customers will get a special surprise on October 1.
Customers who move to FarmVille Tropic Escape will get a bonus package as a thank you present.
